	Blue Fin's History
Blue Fin’s Bistro was opened in March 2005, by David Berent. David originally grew up in Cary North Carolina, his Italian family being transplanted from Long Island New York where David spent his summers. David graduated from UNC Wilmington in 2002 with a degree in communications studies. All through college he worked at restaurants in the Wilmington area, uncovering his love of cooking. It became his dream to move back home and open his own restaurant. David, being an avid fisherman, and loving the beach decided seafood would be the way to go. Along with his fiancé, he has made his dream a reality by opening this small bistro in Wake Forest. He wanted to keep his place small so that the family vibe would shine through and customers would quickly become regulars and friends. Blue Fin’s Bistro has been open now for 4 years, and you can still find David in the kitchen, coming up with new specials, or making his amazing clam chowder. Don’t worry, he also included several items for you land lovers, like his fall off the bone ribs, and delicious marinated chicken dishes. From the artwork on the walls, the signature martini list, the incredible menu and our weekly specials, you’ll find a one of a kind dining experience with us.
